The Northside Chicago chapter of FairVote Illinois is dedicated to bringing better elections to the city of Chicago. We focus on advocacy and activism in the Northside neighborhoods, including: Lincoln Park, Lakeview, Uptown, Ravenswood, Andersonville, Edgewater, Rogers Park, West Ridge, Lincoln Square, and DePaul.
Meet your chapter lead!
Dan Parmer is a husband, father, and lifelong Chicagoan living in Ravenswood. As a 47th Ward Precinct Captain and member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 399, he is seasoned in political action, organizing, and engaging voters, including recent work helping to pass the Workers’ Rights Amendment! Dan is passionate about ranked choice voting because, “It will level the playing field for marginalized candidates, empower voters by giving them more freedom of choice, and combat the polarization and divisiveness that is eroding our democracy.”
