Canvass at Wilmette - Summer Sizzle and Sidewalk Sale

FairVote Illinois will be at the Summer Sizzle and Sidewalk Sale in Wilmette to raise awareness about ranked choice voting as well as to collect sign-ups to support the cause. We’d like to have you join us, or even stop by to just talk and learn more.

We’ll start off around 4:00pm at the T-intersection of 12th St & Central Ave just outside the Central Station Coffee & Tea, which should be right in the middle of the event. We'll then pick up a good spot from there. (In case there's confusion, the "Sidewalk Sale" portion ends at 5:00pm, but the "Summer Sizzle" (entertainment) continues into the evening.)

Feel free to join anytime until we plan to leave around 8:00pm; just look for our signs, message us through Slack, or give a call to 607.339.5001 to coordinate.

(Since this event is held outside, we will not go to the event if the weather looks bad. When this is the case, I will message all the people RSVPed to the event and make a post in the relevant Slack channel. If you’ve never done canvassing or tabling before, never fear! It’s easy to get started and our experienced volunteers can show you the ropes. We’ll also have supplies (e.g. signup sheets, poster cards); just bring you!
