Loyola University
Local Chapter
The Loyola chapter of FairVote Illinois (known on campus as FairVote Illinois LUC) is dedicated to bringing better elections to the city of Chicago. We focus on advocacy and activism on the Loyola campus and in surrounding areas, working to ensure young people are helping lead the charge for this powerful electoral reform.
Meet your chapter lead!
Kamryn McPhaul is a student at Loyola University Chicago. She is currently studying Environmental Studies and Political Science. She enjoys watching anime, reading manga, working out and cooking in her free time. Kamryn has been interested and involved in reform since her junior year of high school; she most recently led a successful RCV petition drive in her home state of Michigan. She hopes that this chapter of FairVote Illinois will be a stepping stone in showcasing Gen Z’s impact on voter reform in these next couple years. Kamryn is an advocate for RCV because, “It is a more fair and equitable way to vote and get marginalized communities heard.”
