Evanston's 4th of July Parade

FairVote Illinois will be participating in Evanston's 4th of July Parade!

We have two options for volunteers (you must choose one):

1. Canvass along the parade route
   (Talk directly with the public and distribute RCV handouts!)
2. Walk in the parade itself
   (Show Evanston that RCV has a good number of supporters!)

If you choose to canvass, let Joel ([email protected]) know and we can coordinate getting you a sign, sign-up sheet, and handouts before the start of the parade.

If you choose to join the procession:

• Meetup time/spot: 12:30pm-1:30pm, Section 4, on the south side of Central St, between its intersections with Cowper Ave and Hastings Ave. (This is also the north side of Bent Park.)
• Entrance to get to meetup spot: Enter the assembly area via the intersection of N Crawford Ave & Central St.
• What to bring: Good walking shoes (the route is ~1.5 miles), any ranked choice voting clothing, water, and sunscreen
• Where to park: The Ryan Field parking lots (1501 Central St).
  It will take at least 30-40 minutes to walk from Ryan Field to the meetup spot.
  Parking passes have been provided and can be accessed through Slack or by asking [email protected] to email a copy.

• Parade starts: 2:00pm at the intersection of Central St & Central Park Ave.
• Parade ends: Just north of the intersection of Central St & Ashland Ave. (A Ryan Field parking lot.)
