Ranked choice voting puts voters first.

  • Voters will have more choices. Less politically-connected candidates have stronger voices under RCV, and voter preferences are considered throughout the process.
  • RCV promotes positive campaigning and reduces partisanship. Candidates have to appeal to their opponents' supporters for secondary support, resulting in more political unity.
  • With RCV, voters can vote for the candidates they like, instead of against the candidates they don't. And there's no worry about vote splitting among similar candidates.
